Casual yet sophisticated

My clients were looking to have an uncluttered look with a 'pop of colour' brought into their foyer, living and dining space.  A backdrop of clay coloured walls, a nicely worn brown leather sofa, patterned wing-back chairs, cherry & espresso wood dining table and bookcase, all atop dark tiled floors provided a great neutral scheme to work with.  Beautiful windows also offered in plenty of light with a scenic greenery view.

I wanted to bring in good energy with plants and too liven up the neutrals, 'hits' of blue & orange really kept coming to mind as well as....birds!?  Strangely enough, on the day of the install I was going through some of the clients things and came across a big lovely book of birds - I say strange because throughout the purchasing process I kept getting a 'bird' vibe (unknowingly, I had picked up a decorative bird & bird pillows for the sofa) and for whatever the reason one day shopping again, I was drawn to an hourglass sand timer but not knowing why, turns out they had an antique looking one sitting out on install day that I'd never seen before!

So trusting in all of that, I really hoped that I had achieved a 'casual yet sophisticated' space for them to enjoy.
